Someone is thinking 70,000 thoughts!
Who do you think is thinking 70,000 thoughts each day?
Not sure? Well, the average person has about 70,000 thoughts in a
DAY!
You just ran a few through your mind trying to come up with an answer.
What is more it is also estimated that most of these thoughts are
repetitive and negative.
Imagine that! 70,000 thoughts a day and most are repetitive and or
negative!
Can we do anything about it? The answer is yes. AWARENESS is one way to control these thoughts. Becoming aware of what you are thinking is like having a REMOTE CONTROL on the TV of your life, AND as you become MORE AWARE it get’s better, you learn more easily how to eliminate the unnecessary inner commercials that don’t support your vision of your life and you get to choose only quality information that supports your dreams and desires.
There is
an even greater and more powerful way of controlling your thoughts,
do you have any idea what that might be?
It is Silence.
Yes, Silence though meditation.
Do you know why?
In meditation we shut off the mental chatter, in meditation we tap
into a deeper more profound part of ourselves. Also, it has been scientifically
proven to change how our brain works and how we see the world.
For the last ten years the Dali Lama working with the University of Wisconsin, has been lending monks and lamas so they could study the brains of people who meditate. The results are astounding. These studies clearly indicated that the minds of long time meditators had greater activation in regions of the brain that connects with empathy, and maternal love. What astounded scientist even more was the fact that even after meditation the long time meditators brains still continued to give the appearance of meditation*.
When
discussing Higher States of Consciousness in the Primordial Sound
Meditation course Joyful Evolution teaches we explain to our meditation
clients that this is what they can to hope to achieve by a continued
daily meditation practice. One of the aspects of Higher States
of Consciousness is beginning to recognize and feel love for the
world around you, seeing the divine in all. It seems now this
love can be registered on an MRI. Kind of cool, huh?
Silence IS GOLDEN because the GOLD you achieve from meditation is
the connection with YOUR TRUE SELF, the love of the world around you
and recognition of your connection to ALL.
